Dear Prospective Volunteer,
Many of you have asked me how to volunteer for the Hurricane Sandy relief effort.
The information below is from a few days ago. What is needed at each location, and who is coordinating, can change. Before deciding to volunteer in any specific place, please make sure to contact the coordinator. To donate to our GPBA Neighbors Helping Neighbors relief effort, click here.
Hot-food kitchen - collecting, preparing and delivering, Wednesdays through Sundays. Distribution system for free food to area throughout winter.
Cooking and prep - 9am-4pm; delivery shifts - 10am-4pm

Crisis-monitoring centers - cleanup, work in kitchen, intake/organizing deliveries.
