Overflowing waste receptacles
Thank you to our Gramercy Park neighbors for taking action!
Last Friday, the GPBA sent an e-mail calling on neighbors to report to 311 the overflowing waste receptacles surrounding Gramercy Park and across the street. As a result, the community bombarded 311 with dozens of complaints and sent us the complaint numbers.
As you can see from the photos above, as of today (Thurs 8/8), the waste receptacles no longer appear to be overflowing. Since we do not know if this positive result will be long term, we will continue to monitor the situation.
A big thank you to our community for coming together to address this issue!
We are Neighbors Helping Neighbors, and we have demonstrated that when we work together, we can make a difference. The more members we have, the louder our voice, the greater our impact!

Also, many of you have inquired about the expense of our 39 Gramercy Park Lot Owner buildings having a year-round contract with The Doe Fund's Ready, Willing and Able street cleaning crew. We are currently exploring this.
